Dear Fellow Lakers,
You have been cordially invited to attend the First Annual Laker Night Dinner & Raffle at the Turkeyfoot Sportsman Club on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. This annual fund raising event is sponsored by the Portage Lakes community’s newest 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; the Portage Lakes Initiative Foundation. This organization was founded to continue sponsoring special events in our community such as; December Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Clock tower, Nighttime Christmas in July / Light Up the Lakes Boat Parade final stop with judging and awards ceremony at the docks, Antique and Classic Boat Show Breakfast, judging and awards ceremony at the docks co-sponsored with the Portage Lakes Historical Society, and the annual Laker Night Fundraiser. This year we will be adding college scholarships for students at the three high schools within the Portage Lakes Community (Manchester, Green and Coventry). We will also be sponsoring more special events in the future.
The founders of this newly formed foundation are; Local Owner/Operator of Pick’s at the Portage Lakes, and Smoke on the Water, Mr. Donnie L. Boyer; local Portage Lakes area attorney, Mr. Theodore F. Scribner, Esq., and Past Portage Lakes Boat Parade Chairman, Mr. Mark T. Haag
For this inaugural event, we will be providing a dinner buffet will start at 5:00 p.m. and stay open until 10 p.m. Raffle sales and the silent auction will be open from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Live music will be from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Dress is casual and you may bring as many guests as you like. The tax deductible donation to attend the dinner and raffle event is $50.00 per person and all persons much be pre-registered by Wednesday, July 28, 2022.
